  christianity today magazine, with a large circulation in north america deals with many issues, including reporting on legal events facing various christian based religions.. in the march 5, 2001 issue the reporter discusses this topic, quoting bill bowen.

  in the same issue of the magazine, they also discussed the watchtower society reorganization that took place in october 2000. it is not too long.

  a little to late, and amazing re: annulments.

  i apologize to all of you who responded to my 'craving for attention' post for not responding on time.

  i was to sick and it's kind of late now to give all the responses.. you certainly gave me the courage to even post again and i already know it's ok if i don't get responses, i'm healed, (you help).. i started to compose a line to each of you, but just know that i love you and i appreciate what you did to me: get confident on the forum and post and practice.. to amazing, willy_think responded to your questions about the annulments and she did a good job.

  I started to compose a line to each of you, but just know that I love you and I appreciate what you did to me: GET CONFIDENT on the forum and post and practice.

  To Amazing, willy_think responded to your questions about the annulments and she did a good job. Never the less, I would like to share my experience... I got an annulment myself and through it's process I become to respect the way the Catholic Church handles them... they have a 'devils' advocate' to defend the Sacrament of Matrimony... they go trough two Tribunals and so forth. I feel confident with the scripture that says "Whatever you bond on earth will be bond in heaven and whatever is unbound will be unbound in Heaven". (I'm quoting from memory).

  My husband and I got our marriage blessed in the Catholic Church on October 4 01.

  To Simon I like to express my admiration on how you handle this forum... what a job.... I'm not sure if I am ready to believe in the sincerity of Yoyomama; he apologized to me in Spanish as you can see on his new threat, but it's hard to know his motives...

  To all who posted on this threat, thanks! Especially Perry and Amazing. I wonder how a non Jehova's mom can get her daughter out. I don't relate to any here, but I'm learning more and more. Another JW will one day help my dauhgter, not me.

  yoyomama's bad day...

  i am the poster formerly known as yoyomama...i had to use my name since simon keeps deleting any registration with "yoyo" in it.. i mentioned earlier that i've had a horrible day, this is why:.

  my wife had a miscarriage over night.

  we've been trying to conceive for over a year and we finally made it, but it has ended in a very disappointing way.... i did not think it would affect me as it did, but it did.. thanks billygoat for your interest.. peace to all, i promise no more outbursts (not even if i'm provoked).

  Ernesto, you cowardly post me on this forum on the other threat with nasty Spanish language. I wonder if Simon knows Spanish, but you know very well how you played with my seriously back and forth e-mails we shared. I was very honest with you and very polite. I thouhgt you were sincere and I shared a lot about my life style involving my sick daughter who has a brain tumor. I pour my heart to you. Then I found out you were a troll, and I honestly felt something weird with you even before that. I hope I don't have to read those ugly language you choose to use. I hope you get help and I hope this forum helps people. You interrump and disturb most of the threats. It is confusing for me, because I'm here to learn and instead, there is a lot of time waisted in a troll like you. I think you need a lot of attention and you are getting it from us when we replied. Oh well, I was tempted and I guess many of us do too and replys to you regardless of your fame. Maybe we will all miss you if you go.

  jehovahs witnesses keep coming to your door because they dont want you to be destroyed at armageddon.. all members believe they belong to the only true religion and every religion except theirs is from the devil, and that god will destroy everyone for not being a jehovahs witness at armageddon.

  if they stop preaching they are told they too will perish because they didnt warn their neighbor, and will be held blood guilty for their deaths at armageddon.. they have been conditioned to have great faith in the watchtower and to let the watchtower control their life and their thinking, to them this is a matter of life, or eternal death.

  truth can certainly promote and assure freedom ... but the "key" to the jailhouse door is not some ultimate "trvth" that we must find.

  some argue that theists, deist, or atheist are free due to some "trvth" or that they are all hypocrits because they debate one another.

  I wish you come up with some answers before this year ends. Your postings of the series about your coming out were excellent.. and the guy you went with to your trip, (the Christian) passed you some love you couldn't refuse or feel.. WHO DO YOU THINK IT WAS, BUT JESUS. We need you as a whole in this forum; take your time, but hurry up. Your book needs to be printed and I buy one and tell others to get one.. go after the "epiloge" as your "mastermind".

  Amazing! I have you in my mind today at Church. I pray for you and I ask God to keep you going in this journey and for you to end this book with a great climax, (Epilogue). I mean, when you decide to publish this 'amazing' posts we are all reading this days. Know that I am so late on your previous posts, (I didn't know about you), so I am trying to catch up with them all... It is a shame that some people tend to see you as arrogant when you are such a good leader chosen by God. Of course the organization choose you for an Elder... so it would have had happended the same in any other place or Church. God gave yu the talents... you are only using them for His people. Keep it up, and please, don't leave this forum... I already feel like an orphane if you do.

  My wife's anxiety, guilt

  my wife has been depressed each time we see our jw friends.

  she doesn't want to see them anymore, because it reminds her of what she left behind, and it makes her feel bad.. i've offered to go back to meetings for a while to help her break away.

  she never wants to go back, but her guilt and anger make her so uncomfortable around active jw's.....it's really bothering her.. any good books out there on breaking away from controlling organizations, especially concentrating on keeping the friendships but not the allegiance to the organization in question?

  Ashi, please try to get a doctor prescribe her CELEXA. It is wonderful and not addicting. My daughter has had a brain tumor that left her with a short term memory damaged three years ago. She was a Pediatric Nurse and have lost her career; plus she has four children and there are other damages from three surgeries on her brain... my brother who is a Psyquiatrist recommended CELEXA for her depression and another friend of mine used it for a year and it did excellent; my daughter and I call it the 'wonder pill'. Now she is again getting involved with her family; and also decorating the new house she and her husband have bouhgt months before this trial. I'm in charge of her and her family, but since she started with this CELEXA life has been a lot better... besides, JWs or not, it seems as your dear wife has needed a antidepresant... right? I will be praying for both of you and please follow God's directions; He certainly speaks in this forum... as for YoYo and teen sexy or whatever, it looks like she or he needs our prayers, agreed? I love to see God's working on him?her too, let's be merciful with him/her too.

  i asked jesus to help me be just a christian, and no more religion in my life.

  when he answered, i told him who i was, and that i just sent off a letter ... but i wanted to talk to him to see if he might be available on the weekend i was there.

  ray would not hear of it, and asked me to stay at his home for the weekend with he and his wife.

  part 1. i thought it might be advantageous to discuss effective ways of getting someone out of the borg and to dispel some myths we might be entertaining about beliefs and changing them.

  in this thread i was hoping to start a discussion about the sociology of the witness belief system and how this can be used to help people escape from the mental trap they have found themselves in.

  the first outside book i ever read about jws was in the late 1970s by james beckford.
